“For me, yoga is not just a workout –
it’s about working on yourself.”
~ Mary Glover
My name is Sandra Thorne. I am a certified 500 hour Yoga Instructor with a theraputic focus, specializing in Hatha Yoga and Classical Ashtanga.
Yoga first found me when I was approximately 16 or 17 years old. It wasn't until a few years later that I was available to bring yoga fully into my life. I stepped onto my mat over 25 years ago & my practice has been my constant companion since! Yoga has taught me to breathe as I move down life's winding pathway. Each and every day I experience yoga differently. Whether I am energetic, tired, stressed, calm, scattered or centered, yoga will meet me there and support my physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth. It is my passion to introduce students to yoga and help them find the support that a regular yoga practice can provide.
I had the privilege of taking my 200 hour teacher certification at Salt Spring Island Centre of Yoga. This is a beautiful location to take a personal retreat or maybe to take your yoga teacher training.
I chose to take my therapeutic yoga certification with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy. This course offers the opportunity to train with some of the top instructors in the field of Yoga Therapy.
I have also studied Kundalini yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga for Round Bodies, Reiki Level 3, Thai Yoga massage and level one & two Critical Alignment Therapy.
"I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings. My wisdom flows from the Highest Source. I salute that Source in you. Let us work together for unity and love.”
I'm so excited to share this news with you!
